Introduction to

St. Thomas Aquinas' Summa


  Author: Dr. Jude Chua is Assistant Professor at Policy and Leadership Studies, National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, where he teaches graduate courses in professional ethics, and for the EdD programme with Institute of Education, University of London. He has held a graduate visiting fellowship at the Centre for Philosophy of Religion at the University of Notre Dame, and studied with Professor John Finnis, and has been a Visiting Scholar at the Institute for Business and Humanism at the University of Navarre, Spain. He won the prestigious Novak Award from Acton Institute in 2002. His work has appeared in Journal of Chinese Philosophy, Angelicum, The Modern Schoolman, Journal of Markets and Morality and Educational Research for Policy and Practice. His latest work is a piece on Wang Bi's reading of Daoist metaphysics, coming out in a volume edited by Professor Alan Chan to be published by SUNY Press. He is an elected Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, London and a qualified Fellow of the College of Teachers at IoE, London, and serves on the board of Directors for United Nations Association of Singapore, where he chairs the peace studies committee. He is also a laxed lay member of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), but by God's grace that might be corrected soon enough. He will be taking up a Visiting Research Scholar appointment at Blackfriars Hall, Oxford University in the later part of the Hilary Term in 2008. His current research is in Aquinas' possible relevance for theories of professionalism and design.
